Need a CLA?

I just got back from a trip to Europe. During the trip, the above lens focus ring got very stiff at the close end of the range. Is this an indication that I am in need of a CLA? If so, can I use DAG or send to Solm (it's an ASPH)?

Is it stiff when the lens is off the camera? If so then you need to have it fixed/CLA'ed.

If it's in warranty (and or within the passport warranty, 3 years from date of purchase) then send it in to Leica and have it fixed free.

Joking apart - maybe the camera is the problem not the lens, or is it only one specific lens?
