Aperture 2 Posted December 30, 2008 Share #1 Posted December 30, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) Another picture of Bruxelles at night (sorry for the lack of diversity). I'm really surprised to see how easy it is to make pictures at night. ISO 1250, 1/30 @ hand, f:2 (Summicron 28mm) It is really easy to make pictures with the M8 and M lenses: - some noise but nothing problematic for my taste - no flare / reflexions at all despite the lights on dark night contrast - no banding / electronic artifacts - nice colors - plenty of detail in the original file (I can even see the cable for the flag in the central arch ! you might see a small line in the small jpg posted) For your information it was really cold that night on exposed to the wind (painful on the hands). I was afraid that maybe the battery or the LCD or the camera could have problems but it was not the case.
Advertisement Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 Hi Aperture 2, Take a look here Cinquantenaire - Bruxelles. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Doc Henry Posted December 31, 2008 Share #2 Posted December 31, 2008 I agree with you Aperture, about the Summicron 28 mm Asph I have bought the same recently ! at 1250 Iso i don't see the difference with 640 : no noise for me ... Wonderful lens and wonderful M8 too : they represent a good couple for this kind of picture
underground Posted January 3, 2009 Share #3 Posted January 3, 2009 Nice shot I agree as well, when i put my M8 on a tri-pod for timed exposure (20-30 sec.) it looks terible on the LCD, but when I load the image on the computer it looks great.
