I think of this lady.

As the winter arrives and the first snow comes, the family always go to the attic and take down their woolen shawls, made of Yak wool.

This lady made them by hand where she lives, in a small village in the Everest National Park in Nepal.

On my last trip there in 2005 I bought some of these wonderful shawls as presents.

I hope she is well and still making these wonderful shawls..

This A3 print hanks in my office, next to a photograph of Ama Dablam.(I posted this and the Ama Dablam imager some time back)

Thanks for looking

Andy
