Advertisement Posted October 8, 2006 Posted October 8, 2006 Hi andybarton, Take a look here Louvre. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Michael-IIIf Posted October 8, 2006 Share #2 Posted October 8, 2006 Andy, From the title I was half expecting to see the usual shot of Pei's pyramid but was bowled over by the beauty of this one. The size, the grandeur, and smallness of man, light and darkness, it's all here - very poetic. Michael
andybarton Posted October 8, 2006 Author Share #3 Posted October 8, 2006 Thanks Michael. This was almost my competition entry... It does have the pyramid in too , and there's even a shot of my wife in there as well. Something for everyone!
kld Posted October 8, 2006 Share #4 Posted October 8, 2006 "The size, the grandeur, and smallness of man, light and darkness, it's all here - very poetic." Impossible to phrase it better than Michael. Superb photo. -- Klaus

azzo Posted October 9, 2006 Share #6 Posted October 9, 2006 Andy....A lovely shot and i'm sure it has more detail in the roof on your PC than on mine. I could also see a nice B&W image here. I like this image very much. Regards Azzo

stunsworth Posted October 9, 2006 Share #8 Posted October 9, 2006 I think everyone who goes through that pasegeway takes this shot - I know I have in the past - but I reckon this is one of the best with an attractive warm feel to it.

kdemas Posted October 15, 2006 Share #13 Posted October 15, 2006 OK, I have to laugh. I have been to Paris 3 times in the past 12 months, taken countless shots around the Louvre, but never snapped from this angle. I am always walking away fromt eh pyramid, out that corridor, and I literally have not looked back! Very nicely done. next time I am there I will have to enter from that direction for once!
