coolfonzies Posted October 23, 2009 Share #81 Posted October 23, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) In my opinion, it's all kinds of awesome. (of course, I had cameraleather do a cognac leather on my chrome M8) bespoke is where it's at, gents.
Advertisement Posted October 23, 2009 Posted October 23, 2009 Hi coolfonzies, Take a look here Hammertone M8. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
sfokevin Posted October 24, 2009 Share #82 Posted October 24, 2009 It makes a great anti-theft device...
innerimager Posted October 28, 2009 Share #83 Posted October 28, 2009 If ever a situation called for "if you don' have something nice to say, shut up" this post did. I'm offended by the rudeness of several of the replies. I have no strong feelings about how the camera looks, but I do appreciate when someone takes a risk and goes for something different and I applaud the effort. carstenw Posted October 28, 2009 Share #84 Posted October 28, 2009 I'd be happier with my wearing black M8 if it showed brassing vs the apparently silver coloured coating under the black finish. The thinning black finish around the edge of the camera seems to just fade to grey as best I can tell. Maybe eventually you wear through that and the brass shows itself I think that in order to chrome the M8, they need to nickel-plate it first, so I guess that is what you are seeing. The M8.2 black paint and M9 should brass more nicely.
brill64 Posted October 28, 2009 Share #85 Posted October 28, 2009 post some more images with lens attached...it's great, very unusual and a limited edition. why did you decide to remove the white "m8" but keep the leica engraving on the top? I have no strong feelings about how the camera looks, but I do appreciate when someone takes a risk and goes for something different and I applaud the effort. This forum would be deadly dull if it were all Cheers and no Geers... And given all the other mud slinging that goes on around here and the fact you have been around for more than 1,000+ posts it would seem you would have a thicker skin?... epand56 Posted October 29, 2009 Share #87 Posted October 29, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) I find it quite horrible. Do not understand why I should do something like that to my camera...
