Overgaard Posted September 29, 2006 Share #1 Posted September 29, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Getting carried away we asked a local guy to be in a shot. I guess you have to live here to fully appreciate the irony in his t-shirt (naming the local neighborhood) and the poster behind (for one of Denmarks best known - and most lofty - artists; dunno what it's doing in a laundry). Anyway, it's just for the fun of it. R8, 35mm F/2.8 @ 2.8, 100 ISO Sensia @ 800 ISO. Imacon scan. 50% crop.
Advertisement Posted September 29, 2006 Posted September 29, 2006 Hi Overgaard, Take a look here Laundry sevice. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
robert_parker Posted September 29, 2006 Share #2 Posted September 29, 2006 Torsten I really like this one - the only slight criticism I have is when I crop a little of the bottom away with my monitor, I feel the irony between the two subjects is intensified - there must be a difficult balance between allowing the context in and preserving the relationship (or lack of relationship) between the subjects. Sandokan Posted September 30, 2006 Share #4 Posted September 30, 2006 Hi Thorsten, Normally I am a fan of your work and your web site. With this shot, I can see the potential for a story "he flirting with her and she absorbed in her book, pretending not to notice him", but in this shot, she seems to be looking back at someone/something, but her chin is tilted up whereas if she was focusing on something (or just had her name called), her face angle and eyes would be in the same direction. I guess it depends upon the mood you were trying to create and I am seeing something else...? She is a stunning model and the shot is good, but I would love to see the others from this shoot. .
