andybarton Posted September 26, 2006 Share #1 Posted September 26, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) It's coming together nicely. This shot was sorted from raw RAW to this in about 5 minutes. No sign of the alleged crop bug on this Mac so far... Advertisement Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 Hi andybarton, Take a look here Just been playing with Lightroom Beta 4. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jason Posted September 26, 2006 Share #2 Posted September 26, 2006 Andy, I meant to ask you. Do you know how to get rid of those pointless graphic flourishes in the latest release of Lightroom? Regards
robsteve Posted September 26, 2006 Share #3 Posted September 26, 2006 Andy: I noticed that with DMR files, if you select build previews on import, it creates a better starting point when you open the raw DNG files. Do this, then save the settings as a preset called DMRdefault or something like that. Using this preset, you can get back to the base profile Lightroom uses for the DMR. No. I just hope they see sense by the time v1 comes out Andy: I noticed that with DMR files, if you select build previews on import, it creates a better starting point when you open the raw DNG files. I haven't found that option yet. It's not in the Preferences section. Any clues?
robsteve Posted September 26, 2006 Share #5 Posted September 26, 2006 Andy: It is under the file import section, in the pop up window that appears after you select the files to import.

robsteve Posted September 26, 2006 Share #7 Posted September 26, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Try selecting some files and see if it asks in the next step. Are you dealing with RAW DNG files? It is only for RAW files that it would need to build a preview.
andybarton Posted September 26, 2006 Author Share #8 Posted September 26, 2006 I see. Thanks My set up is as you see here. I have been leaving the DNG files where they are, rather than importing them into another database within Lightroom.
