andit Posted August 15, 2008 Author Share #2 Posted August 15, 2008 Hmmm, the jpeg translation and resize seems to kill the color... Andreas
vanhulsenbeek Posted August 15, 2008 Share #3 Posted August 15, 2008 Hmmm, the jpeg translation and resize seems to kill the color... Andreas Very nice composition: makes you look around in the picture quite some time. And leaves the impression: I want to go there too . Which is a vital prerequisite for anything travel. I can understand Andreas' comment: I miss Leica vibrancy/3d quality. Should be there!
stuny Posted August 15, 2008 Share #4 Posted August 15, 2008 Andreas - A beautiful composition, and one of the best photos I recall your posting. I took the liberty of doing a few seconds worth of post processing.... BTW: You're "coming home" to Windhoek has had a good influence on Hans -- he's posting more. Or is it that all his distractions have greatly reduced?
andit Posted August 15, 2008 Author Share #5 Posted August 15, 2008 Hi Stuart, Thanks for the kind words. The original image is rich in color and hue, however during the translation from dng to jpeg and resize it lost all its color. I'm certainly happy to be back in Windhoek and I'm sure Hans feels the same way. It's always easier for two people to go out and take some pic's, rather than if you're alone. So you'll see a great deal more from Namibia in the time to come. I hope that some of the members will be so curious about our country that they too will want to come here. Were here to help anyone who wants to visit this amazing place. Andreas
Saloti Posted August 15, 2008 Share #6 Posted August 15, 2008 Andreas, what a dramatic angle. I personally prefer the original.

Bateleur Posted August 18, 2008 Share #8 Posted August 18, 2008 Andreas, A visual treat, as the eye traces around, even the people are suited in the composition! For those curios about Namibia, my advise is simply ... Go Charles
