andybarton Posted September 25, 2006 Share #1 Posted September 25, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Can't find out whether this is of any interest to us ( ), but I am not holding my breath... (This could be the most pointless thread ever started here...)
Advertisement Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 Hi andybarton, Take a look here Apple demonstrating Aperture 1.5 as I type. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Overgaard Posted September 25, 2006 Share #2 Posted September 25, 2006 I doubt it would be pointless. But in case it becomes, let me hijack it for a moment with the following quote: "Consistently wise decisions can only be made by those whose wisdom is constantly challenged." Theodore C. jason Posted September 25, 2006 Share #3 Posted September 25, 2006 Leica D-Lux 2 support?
andybarton Posted September 25, 2006 Author Share #4 Posted September 25, 2006 More likely to be Panaleica support than DMR/M8 Panasonics are specifically mentioned in the guff.
Overgaard Posted September 25, 2006 Share #5 Posted September 25, 2006 Annoying that they don't state it clearly. But is does look like Apeture will grow to become a nice tool. Where did you see the webcast, Andy? I checked Apple's site just to find out - after 10 minutes or so - that the webcast I looked at was the September 2. andybarton Posted September 25, 2006 Author Share #6 Posted September 25, 2006 I didn't see it, but I have a friend who is a member of Apple's Developers' system. Doesn't work on Aperture, unfortunately... I currently have a copy sitting here doing nothing, so it won't harm to download the update later in the week and see what happens. With the queue for M8s stretching to the New Year, and DMR sales stronger than they may have thought, Apple will be missing out on the high end users if they're not careful. With Lightroom Beta 4 looking interesting, Apple may just have missed the Leica boat...
Guest guy_mancuso Posted September 25, 2006 Share #7 Posted September 25, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Andy completely agree with you. i just bought 3 macs and all they kept trying to sell me was Aperture at every turn, until they support my DMR they can place it somewhere were we can't talk about. i tried lightroom this morning and with the DMR files it looks pretty good and they took all of the Raw Shooters premium controls and added that. Honestly i am a dead in the wool C1 guy but lightroom looks pretty good. I like how you can edit real easy with it. need to have options for other profiles but that is another thread. Anyway Apple needs to wake up to the potiental of 20k M8 users. Hello

jason Posted September 25, 2006 Share #9 Posted September 25, 2006 With Lightroom Beta 4 looking interesting, Apple may just have missed the Leica boat... Yeah, something of an understatement. At present only the Digilux 2 is supported. Strange how the Sony A100 has already been added...
