Advertisement Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 Hi sparkie, Take a look here is a D-Lux 4 coming this Photokina?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
centresud Posted August 6, 2008 Share #22 Posted August 6, 2008 Thank you for the clarification. I use another german camera, Rolleiflex GX, but I'm looking for something a little more practical... I guess what I'm really waiting for is the upgrade of the Digilux 3.
AmericanJarhead Posted September 3, 2008 Share #23 Posted September 3, 2008 I don't see the speed being very useful, but the width might occasionally come in handy... To me, having f2 really makes that camera more useful. I thrive in taking available light pics in difficult light. It have to be sharp at f2 and if this comes out I will certainly give it a test run...
sfage Posted September 3, 2008 Share #24 Posted September 3, 2008 I'll tell you what I would like to pay for. Someone to install a viewfinder (that doesn't remind me of the back yard mechanic drinking party) hotshoe on my Dlux. That's what I want. I'd even pay leica to do it. intex Posted September 3, 2008 Share #25 Posted September 3, 2008 Things I don't like about my DLux-3: 1. No viewfinder, I have to GUESS almost EVERYTIME I take a picture, as light washes out the picture on the LCD screen, plus if you need glasses to read, everything is blurry as well. 2. Camera broke twice within the first week of use overseas. 3. Warranty help was useless overseas, since I purchased it in US 4. Low light use is not very good. 5. Most importantly, I do NOT feel safe using this camera, I am always wondering if it will work or not. PS- I have an M8, so I am a bit familiar with Leica cameras (a bit)
kdemas Posted September 4, 2008 Share #26 Posted September 4, 2008 I have a D-Lux 3 that I use for travel quite often and I have found it to be a great little P&S. Mine has been totally reliable and has not let me down. I highly recommend it for someone looking for a zoom pocket traveler. Kent
