norbertnl Posted July 24, 2008 Share #1 Posted July 24, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) Dear all, In the Netherlands I came across the EIZO CG-222W-BK 22" (both with and without calibrator) the other day. As far as I understand it came out recently. Does anyone of you have any experience with this monitor? The reason why I'm asking is that I'm looking for a decent monitor for my workflow. I'm an amateur who does payed jobs every once in a while - which means I need some reliability without buying overkill. Best regards, Norbert
Advertisement Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 Hi norbertnl, Take a look here EIZO CG-222W-BK 22" - Has anyone used this monitor?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jaapv Posted July 24, 2008 Share #2 Posted July 24, 2008 I ran across a demo Eizo GC 19 recently and couldn't be happier. I had quite a decent NEC screen, but there is no comparison to a pro-level monitor.
FMB Posted July 24, 2008 Share #3 Posted July 24, 2008 Nowadays I'm just upgrading my PC and also just in time to change my monitor. peter_n Posted July 24, 2008 Share #4 Posted July 24, 2008 I don't know about this particular monitor but in general Eizo is a quality manufacturer. If you're looking for reviews use Google with your search terms of choice.

Here at least about one third cheaper than its 24 inch brother. At PMA in Australia they were everywhere and sold out very quickly to an audience of professional imaging exhibitors and customers. aneleh Posted November 12, 2008 Share #6 Posted November 12, 2008 Hello! I'm very happy that I found this forum with this thread, because I have a similar doubt likeNorbert had. I need to buy a new monitor, and after many days spent exploring which one could be right for me, there are 2 options that fit my needs: Eizo CG222W or LaCie 324. Here is technical information comparison: LaCie: PRAD | LCD-Display Eizo: PRAD | LCD-Display I live in Croatia, where the price differs in 10eur between two of them, they are cca 1365eur. I'm going to use it for photography and graphic design, amateur and professional. I'm now finishing my graphic design studies, so I can't afford (and don't actually need) something with higher price, but I still need something decent. I've read in many reviews that they are reproducing color well, Eizo even better. So that is one + for Eizo. Actually the thing that bothers me most are those 2 inches - LaCie :24" (native resolution 1920x1200), Eizo: 22" (res.1680x1050) I would really like to find out from people who work in graphic and photography: do this 2 inches difference play significant roll? I would also like to ask Norbert if he got his Eizo and how are the impressions? Thank you in advance for your answers Helena
