peterb Posted September 23, 2006 Author Share #7 Posted September 23, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Actually, it WAS taken with a D2 so it is INDEED a Leica shot. But with the hues tweaked in photoshop elements. With all the anxious anticipation of the abilities of the M8, I couldn't resist. I was feeling a little silly today and wanted to have a little fun. My apologies if anyone was offended. Peter

rfleica Posted September 26, 2006 Share #15 Posted September 26, 2006 i just recalibrated my monitor, so it now shows a nice neutral image based on the recently posted M8 "reference" shot. i only just realised how orange all of my previous images were.... Guest Herbert Maier Posted September 26, 2006 Share #16 Posted September 26, 2006 to take a picture like this one I do not need a leica.
albertwang Posted September 26, 2006 Share #17 Posted September 26, 2006 Did you shoot RAW? EXIF image doesn't say M8... sorry buddy.
Guest leica_mage Posted September 26, 2006 Share #18 Posted September 26, 2006 I'm sorry, but this is ghastly, whatever it is. Even if you had said it was shot with an M3 plus some venerable Leitz optic, it's still ghastly. Unviewable. Best,
peterb Posted September 26, 2006 Author Share #19 Posted September 26, 2006 Herbert, Albert and Leica Mage... Yes the shot is ghastly. It's INTENTIONALLY so. Utterly destroyed on photoshop. (Even if it WAS shot with an LX1 and a DC Vario Elmarit lens!) But this whole thread was created as a joke. I posted a confession and an apology earlier but it appears you may not have read it. So please accept my apologies if I offended you or caused you any grief, visually, about the potential of what may turn out to be the hottest camera of the year. peterb Posted September 26, 2006 Author Share #20 Posted September 26, 2006 Oh, and Albert? It was shot RAW but the image I tweaked was a perfectly good, well-exposed jpeg that was created at the same time as the RAW inside the LX1. P
