This is nonsense, unless "a camera" means something like "a 10MP digital camera with interchangeable lenses and APS-sized sensor". Ask the people on this forum who use film Leicas, RD-1s and small-sensor digital cameras.

You are right, that is what I mean. It's my first RF and first M of course. RD-1 never gave me a chance to purchase :) All my other cameras are d/SLRs, MF, ... most of them now just sit in closet.

Litterally, M8 took out my fear of pointing camera to strangers on the street. It's true all other siblings of M8 and like are good for such task, but for me, it is M8 which did it. M8 has opened up whole different world of things to photograph to me. M8 serves me better than RD-1 or film (even though I really enjoyed M7 when I rented) counter part.

Thus, it is still one of the 101 reason to have M8 (to me anyway).

It became so difficult to remember all the reasons given. I hope the film like nature has not been mentioned yet.

Here comes my wife checking my new camera (hopefully someday!) She's getting used to it so there will be no problems later on!

Because it lets me take his picture without his buddies noticing and waking him up. Another guy came up with a loud and big dslr and woke him up right after I shot this.

It's also nice that the files require very little work. Shot jpeg, quick curves and it was sent (in color) to the paper very quickly. I also did an audio slideshow in B&W, and those conversions were a piece of cake. Didn't even need to go to the raw files.

Because it captures images in such a way that I can step back for a wide composition and still capture tons of fine details.

Sometimes it is a real pleasure to have a light weight backup, even at a sporting event.
