kobold Posted September 23, 2006 Share #61 Â Posted September 23, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hold the phone, there, Imants: this was posted more in the spirit of encouraging the eventual development of a camera that I think that you would want to buy, too, if it ever eventuates. It was a comment: I know that it does not have a finder. Â A rhetorical question, in other words.
albertwang Posted September 23, 2006 Author Share #62 Â Posted September 23, 2006 regardless or not whether it has a finder, I really dig the Dlux3 as a portable camera with lots of potential for street and crazy shots from the hip. Just perfect with the manual settings too.
Guest stnami Posted September 23, 2006 Share #63 Â Posted September 23, 2006 cliche ridden " street and crazy shots from the hip".... requires 400 iso, no stabilisation can freeze movement, camera setup a known non low light performer unfortunately.... given the situation...... your camera ora beatin beaten up fort takin me foto man... a bargain!!! digital_love Posted November 3, 2006 Share #65  Posted November 3, 2006 The D-lux 3 looks absolutely sexy... completely in black paint. I nearly mistaken it for a leica special edition. M8 and D-lux 3 are the best looking cameras of the batch. Cannot agree with you more on this viewpoint.  Nowadays the P&S camera market is almost dominated by Japanese products. Holding a German camera like Leica D-Lux3 truly stands out!!!  A few weeks ago I was suffering making a decision between Canon Powershot G7 and Panasonic Lumix LX2. I love the top image quality of G7, but I also love the native 16:9 wide angle of LX2. But the former is a bit bulkier and bothersome to operate with, and the latter is of highly noisy images which has been criticised by many Internet reviews. I had to make a selection between them because I did not know where to find and to buy a Leica D-Lux3 at that time. But now, I've found where (which electronic retailer store) I should be heading to for Leica D-Lux3 in Canada.  Love Leica! Excellent camera!  (PS: By the way, I am owning a Canon Pro1, also an excellent P&S camera!! But my next camera will go to Leica.)
