This is my M2 which I inherited from my Father last year. It has its first roll of film in it since he passed away. I'm looking forward to seeing the results!

Wow.

I still think that the M2 is the ultimate Leica camera in terms of design and any other criterion that comes to mind. On the (rare) occasions that I use mine I always end up with a broad smile on my face. The MP is a close 2nd as far as I am concerned.

See here for my precious:D

I know this is an old thread, but now 2011 no more M2 lover? No more pictures of good simple M2 from Leica users? I contribute one photo :D:D:D

Yes we still love our M2s! But for some reason, some of us love them here, and some of us love them there.

(Maybe some friendly mod could merge all those posts here instead?)

Well done !

Great combo and thx for sharing. I wouldn´t mind having a look

at the camera without the lenscap ...

I see, is there special reason why it's there in leica history/collectors? No one likes to use it anymore, just as collectors item? I love the simple framelines in VF in M2 (just like an M3) though that's why I am using it :)

Hi everyone,

My first post after lurking for ages. I thought all the M2's were feeling neglected and couldn't stand for it any longer!

Mine is lovely and with my 35 Sumilux asph. produces lovely results! No need to go digital for me. It is much easier just to get a scan when I need it! In berlin there are some really good labs too...

Cheers and to lovely M2's

Adrian

And I love my M3 ;) What lab are you using?

Cheers,

Bernhard

VERY excellent, these are two great photographs, Beta !

Thanks a lot for these.

The SUMMILUX is a perfect match for your M2. It was absolutely

a luxury lens when the M2 was still young and I´am sure, it still

delivers outstanding results today. Enjoy.

I wish you ALL THE BEST in Tokyo ...

Best

GEORG
