So- Halogen, Tungsten and reflected snowlight shining in:     And even worse: Snowlight through the window. Inside: main light fluorescent, with tungsten and candlelight added:
Advertisement Posted February 21, 2008 Posted February 21, 2008 Hi jaapv, Take a look here Mixed light AWB. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
DaveB Posted February 21, 2008 Share #2 Â Posted February 21, 2008 The handling of white balance has markedly improved in the 10 months that I've had the M8. Â I find myself spending less time in post processing playing with the slider and eyedropper tool. Â Just looking at the thumbnail previews in BreezeBrowser Pro I see significantly fewer hideous color temperature mistakes when using AWB than before. Â This is the first firmware update that really has me almost cheering.
etrigan63 Posted February 22, 2008 Share #3 Â Posted February 22, 2008 More importantly: Where were you staying? That place is beautiful! Â I did some unscientific tests as well and published the results here. I too am very pleased with this update as it greatly cuts down the time I spend in post. hdrmd Posted February 22, 2008 Share #4 Â Posted February 22, 2008 AWB is greatly improved. The early edition would go from tungsten to shady (3000K -7000K) from frame to frame. Jaap's photos show what I have been experiencing: it now works. DR

pthompson Posted February 22, 2008 Share #10 Â Posted February 22, 2008 Firmware 1.201 is the real deal. I thought I didn't care about AWB, but having accurate previews is a real treat - and a huge timesaver. Â Aside from a few menu quirks, I now have a camera that I don't have to make excuses for, and that might even be worth what I paid for it...picking it up and shooting with it makes me feel goooood.
