lambroving Posted September 4, 2006 Share #2 Posted September 4, 2006 Hello Marc, Nice catch! Like the light and the framing. Can't decide whether I'd prefer the foreground in focus.
stuny Posted September 4, 2006 Share #3 Posted September 4, 2006 Marc - I prefer it as you have it, with the focus on the astonishing Jain carvings. Lovely photo. I hope you also gto to the Jain temple in Mt. Abu. The carvings there, believe it or not, are even better!. They do NOT permit photography at that temple, though, so vendors sell their photos just outside the exit.

Stuart, Rather depends on whether you want a snap of "the astonishing Jain carvings" or a meaningful image of "Prayer". As the shot is so carefully framed, I suspect the latter. Marc is a graphic artist and will understand what I meant.
marc_dufour Posted September 5, 2006 Author Share #5 Posted September 5, 2006 William, Stuart. The first I saw, as everybody, were the incredible carving of the temple. Later, and despite the presence of some tourists (few ones, thanksfully) these two women, absorbed in there praying, with their attention fixed on the statue in the shade. I should have prefered more light on the statue, of course. It was the essential for them. I thought the presence of the women was enough evident... and my sight followed their one, simply. Thanks to both for your time and comments. Marc
