I read all of nine pages!

I had Elmarit-M 28 2.8 III which was sold cheap on ebay, well, first day I learned why. Lens has some impact. The focus tab came off at very first day I have in on camera. "Likely", it is plastic and at the same day I re-glued it back. Took me another day and roll of film to figure out what I forgot to check focus assembly, but lens made to make it back easy and quick.

This is the scan of darkroom print which represents special quality of this lens on film:

I also tried it on M-E in 2016 with fresh firmware and it performed very good.

Now I have new to me mint ELC Cron 50 IV (the beaver tail :: ). I like the weight, size and handling. Having Collapsible and Rigid before it is interesting to see how each of 50mm Summicrons are different. Version IV is half modern, half classic to me. Collapsible was the king on BW film, Rigid did some magic with color film, IV seems to be able to do it all, plus digital, but with something like more spread performance without performance peaks on specific type of the "sensor".

Update. Thanks to this no-good thread, I've acquired a 90mm Summicron and a 135mm Elmarit. The Cron is being serviced and cleaned and the 135mm is enroute. Thank goodness there were no insane deals to be had on a 75 Lux.

Oh tell me about it. I've just taken custody of a R 80mm Lux for use with my SL. No-good thread at all but my goodness it delivers the look.
