If so this is probably limited by the atmosphere in Barcelona far more than the lens! (There is actually a warning to people not to exercise today, thanks to the pollution...) Kwesi Posted January 13, 2021 Share #213 Posted January 13, 2021 Hi Everyone, I did a quick scan and couldn't the answer to my question which is: Did Dr. Mandler design the second version of the Summicron 50/2 rigid?
a.noctilux Posted January 13, 2021 Share #214 Posted January 13, 2021 This one "II" of Wiki YES 😉 depending on which of the second version Rigid... the Wiki list of Mandler's lenses, here ... This one is not on that list (1951-1969), maybe he was too young ?
Kwesi Posted January 13, 2021 Share #215 Posted January 13, 2021 (edited) I was referring to this one which is the second version of the first version of the sum micron rigid. (It has the dual meter and feet scale) Welcome, dear visitor! As registered member you'd see an image here… Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! Someone now forgotten must have started using the word and now it has become the name to identify the lens. a.noctilux Posted January 13, 2021 Share #219 Posted January 13, 2021 In french, "Rigid" is not that "fair" word to the object it can lead to "rigidité cadavérique" (rogor mortis)
Kwesi Posted January 13, 2021 Share #220 Posted January 13, 2021 I recently bought one and was curious. It seems the Mandler ones are the Version3 through the current version 5 non-apo
