And if that one convenient card goes south so do all the photos from your trip!

 

Maybe I'm a bit of a Luddite, but I just can't bring myself to trust the technology that far (even though I've never actually encountered a catastrophic card failure myself). I'd much rather have photos from a trip distributed over a number of smaller cards. Fewer eggs in each basket, as it were.

There is risk either way. What if you lose the memory cards because you misplace your memory card container. Or if they slip out of your bag? Or your bag gets stolen with the memory cards in it? To me, the chances of any of these things happening is MUCH greater than a well made flash card going south. I have yet to experience it. OTOH, I have lost many memory cards.

I haven't seen this reported yet - when selecting white balance you can now scroll smoothly through the options. In the previous firmware before you got to the end of a page the list would jump several places to include the remaining choices - very annoying. Now the page doesn't change until you scroll past the end item, much better.

I made the update and no problem at all but I have a question :

on the set menu (down left) you can use 4 user profile, in the menu (up right) you can save 3 user so I cannot save the 0 profile, your advice ?
