Maksim M Posted 2 hours ago Share #1 Posted 2 hours ago Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi All! Looking forward to add another 50mm to gear kit. There is huge problem to find any comparison on high resolving sensor of the SL3. Is there any owners of combo SL3 + 50 LUX SL + 50 APO SL ? Can you compare them, or maybe there is such comparison, in terms of IQ and resolution? By my experience with APO SL - it is overall leader in terms of resolution and contrast, as for now I own a Panasonic S PRO 50 f/1.4 and it is probably good but has less contrast and resolution wide open. Thanks in advance!
Advertisement Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Hi Maksim M, Take a look here Best 50mm for SL3: 50 Apo summicron SL vs 50 SL Summilux vs Sigma 50 1.2. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Hendrikus Posted 2 hours ago Share #2 Posted 2 hours ago I am very happy with my Sigma 50mm f 1.2 dg dn art, but I am not sure if you want third party lenses.
SJH Posted 18 minutes ago Share #3 Posted 18 minutes ago Hello - I've used all three and still own both the 50 APO and Sigma 50 1.2 DG DN. The Lux is a lovely lens but heavy and slow to focus on the SL3/s bodies, so my favourite out of the 3 is the Sigma 50mm 1.2 - especially for portraits/people, lighter weight (same as the APO and it's a 1.2), latest motors and beautiful rendering. I hardly use the APO anymore so will probably sell it at some point. In my view the first time Sigma have really matched (and even bettered) the Leica line up. They got close with the first version of the 35mm 1.2 and I imagine the v2 is even close to the 35mm APO (which I personally feel is the best Leica SL lens).
