Hello-

Thomas from the Pacific Northwest, USA here.

Been shooting, developing and printing photos since I was young as my mother was had a darkroom set-up in (in my bathroom) when I was a kid about 50 years ago.  Up until digital took off, I worked my way up through formats ending up spending most of my time with a Leica M6, Mamiya 6 and an Ebony 4x5" large format camera.

Family, work, and more physical activities kept my photography time very limited over the last 15 years or so but I did acquire a couple iterations of the A7R Sony cameras and full set of G Master primes that I used from time to time with little inspiration. 

Last summer, I decided to recommit to photography and picked up a Leica Q3 43 despite having a full Sony system (A7R4 now). I'm enjoying the camera and appreciate all the content here.

I have a similar background as you and also a Q series but mine is a Q2.
A outstanding camera for size, build quality and recording quality but with the limit of a fixed focal length.
I used my Q2 in many places and situations and did not felt the need to change lens for other focal lengths, litt i found a perfectly new condition SL2.
