Problem downloading photos from a memory card from M11-D on iMac.

The memory card in my M246 is easily read via a USB 2.0 card reader.

However, the memory card (Lexar SDXC UHS-ii) from my M11-D is not recognized or read by my iMac M4 (2024) running macOS 26.1.

Can anyone help me?

There are images saved on the camera?

Can you try the USB 2.0 card reader plugged into the iMac? I've never had any card not read by a Mac from the last ten or so years.

Have you tried another card reader? Like an USB-C one?

If i understand correctly, you used the card out of the M246 in the M11-D? or is it another card?
In any case, did you run a card format with the M11-D?
First thing i would do is to find another computer (Windows maybe) to download the photos before disaster strikes.
Then you may use as already suggested another card reader, but wired is that reader reads M246 files but not the M11-D ones.

Thanks for your advice! Sorry my question wasn't clear.

I have 2 separate cards The M246 card is perfectly read with my reader.

The card from my new M11-D can't be read by the iMac using the same card reader. (Card out of camera).

I might replace the old reader with a USB-C reader. In the meantime I download the photos from the M11-D via the camera and the iPhone. This also works fine.

Not sure if this is the issue but just in case: The camera does not mount as a disk like a regular card reader would.

If the camera is in PTP mode and you are using a usb-c cable that supports data (some are power only!) the iMac should recognise it in the "Image Capture" program, or "Photos". Then you can download and delete photos from there.
