CDodkin Posted 11 hours ago Share #1  Posted 11 hours ago Advertisement (gone after registration) The M EV1 no longer depends on the Leica RF frame lines, so you can freely use lenses outside of that limitation, such as the excellent Leica 21mm Super-Elmar-M ASPH f/3.4. You can use the EVF to actually frame your comp, adjust your DOF and exposure in real time, check for blown pixels, level etc - all in one fluid UI. Such a superb upgrade to the experience - I imagine they'll sell more super wide, and tele M lenses, now the M EV! s out. Welcome, dear visitor! Advertisement Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago Hi CDodkin, Take a look here Frame Lines no longer Required. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
lct Posted 9 hours ago Share #2 Â Posted 9 hours ago 28/90 framelines are less disturbing than 50/75 TBH but there is no risk of VF blockage any more since the EVF sees through the lens. Flare and focus shift are less of a problem, too, for the same reason. Superb lenses like Tri-Elmar 16-18-21/4 (aka WATE) and Apo-Telyt 135/3.4 will be given a new lease of life hopefully.
