jrethorst Posted 9 hours ago Share #1  Posted 9 hours ago Advertisement (gone after registration) This camera, with replaced sensor, had always worked well. After a few months without use, I took it on a trip and all the images were like this sample: out-of-focus whether using auto or manual focus, and a black strip across the bottom. High-quality JPEG; contrast, sharpness and saturation were all set to standard. The sample shown has been downsized to 1.3 mb to post. Original is 3.7 mb, at: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1l_-9ehGY5rMDuIOD96gpcd-WKdrdh_K5/view?usp=sharing Thank you, John Welcome, dear visitor! stuny Posted 8 hours ago Share #2 Â Posted 8 hours ago Speaking from a position of ignorance, I would guess it has been jarred just the right way to change the relationship between the lens and the sensor.
wda Posted 7 hours ago Share #3  Posted 7 hours ago Do you have any recollections of the camera having suffered from an impact, inside or outside a camera case? The lens is misaligned and has captured an internal light baffle, or part of the lens hood. Nothing is truly sharp. It is difficult to believe that it could happen without a traumatic event. Exposure determination is fine. From memory, I believe that the sensor is attached to back of the lens. Don't ignore the Panasonic repair route. Although I would ask Leica first.
