Question regarding Lenses

Hi Eveyone, 

With my recently acquired SL3-S I currently have 3 lenses 

Sigma 35mm f/1.2 DG II Art Lens (L-Mount) (I have been blown away by the quality of the images produced by this lens. 

Leica 50mm f/2 Summicron-SL ASPH

Leica Vario-Elmarit-SL 28-70mm f/2.8 ASPH. lensI

Recognizing the 50mm has a wider aperture. How much difference is there between 50mm on the Prime Lens versus setting the 28-78mm to 50mm? I am considering returning  or trading the 50mm Prime to put toward somethings else,  if it is a truly minor difference.

Thank you for any clarification  I recognize this may be a rookie question I am just not sure if I am being overly redundant.
