CDodkin Posted 19 hours ago Share #1 Â Posted 19 hours ago Advertisement (gone after registration) I saw some speculation online about the battery life of the M EV1 with the EVF running - I can report that shooting all weekend, I never needed to recharge the battery. Leica batteries are excellent - and I don't feel the need to buy a spare for the M EV1.

dbirkey Posted 18 hours ago Share #2 Â Posted 18 hours ago How many photos did you take?
SiggiGun Posted 13 hours ago Share #3 Â Posted 13 hours ago During the test phase, I took 50-200 pictures a day. Compared to the M11-P, I didn't notice any battery problems. However, I always switch off unnecessary power consumers (on all cameras).
JNK100 Posted 12 hours ago Share #4 Â Posted 12 hours ago My M11 lasts around 2.5x the number of shots vs my Q3. I would be surprised if the EV1 is much different to Q3 in this regard.

Which EVF/LCD mode and power saving settings did you use? I never needed more than one battery per day, but I did not shoot that many images per day. The battery usage is also very dependent how you use the camera when not shooting (wifi transfers, image browsing, menu usage, etc).
