I bought four rolls of Monopan at the Leica store in Paris in early September before heading out on a two-week trip to Normandy and Brittany. I shot it at box speed.

I got the scans back last week. They were way too bright, and I had to do a lot of work in Lightroom to bring the highlights back down. I was worried about how the negatives would look, because, for me, the whole point of shooting film is to make my own silver gelatin prints. But I picked up the negs today and they look great! Very dense (not too dense) and contrasty, with excellent detail. I look forward to making darkroom prints next week.

As an example, here's a shot of the abbey at Longues-sur--Mer. MP | Monopan 50 | 35mm APO. Developed in Ilfotec DD-X.

It looks very high in resolution and I believe it also credit to APO 35mm and contrast control in editing.

Agree with you about film should be targeted with wet printing in mind (different challenge as well different joy than digital).  It will be awesome if printed in 16 x 24.

Got a few rolls at Leica Store Los Angeles. Shot a roll on the weekend just around home to test it out. Nothing special subject wise. Leica MO 50mm Summicron with orange filter. Developed at home in Ilfotec DD-X and scanned myself.
