If this is correct, it is not black-paint as I know it, and ultimately may put the kibosh on my acquisition.

I'm the opposite, if it's similar to the classic M6 with just brass instead of zinc alloy I'm thinking I want 1 over the MP. I'm not a fan of the brassing look and was thinking of getting the chrome MP over the new M6.
