grahamc Posted May 29 Share #1 Posted May 29 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello I recently had the opportunity to scan the same images on both of these lab scanners, so thought I'd place some side by sides here . They aren't supposed to be colour-correct as such, nor edited in-scanner. Instead, they were scanned with fairly generic settings and let the scanner interpret the image straight-out-the-box. Do you consistently have a favourite of the 2 images here? (Or other observations) There's obviously some inherent character to each, but I like them both. Always the same scanner on each side - Frontier Left, Noritsu Right Film was Kodak Gold. Noritsu seems to retain some more of what I would expect from Gold (unless I'm just used to Noritsu scans). Frontier seems to neutralise the look of the film stock a little. Cheers Welcome, dear visitor! 250swb Posted May 29 Share #18 Posted May 29 I like the Noritsu scans best, the colour isn't 'correct' but they have a warm day at the seaside feel to them that is perfect. BernardC Posted May 29 Share #19 Posted May 29 The Frontier is close to neutral, with a hint of magenta. The Noritsu is very yellow. Either one should be easy to correct.
