Either slipped its moorings in a severe storm or abandoned with intent; no cabin or deckhatches.

Appears abandoned, went down a number of weeks ago with no attempt to raise it. Sad.
Graham (G4FUJ) Posted May 10 Share #5 Posted May 10 I always find the loss of any vessel sad - perhaps something to do with my years at sea!
pippy Posted May 14 Share #6 Posted May 14 Such a shame. Wouldn't it be a simple matter to trace the owner through the Small Ships Register? Philip.

Wouldn't it be a simple matter to trace the owner through the Small Ships Register? Philip. I think that the owner is probably aware but is doing nothing about it. There are abandoned yachts all over the place and many become a liability. There was one cast up on a sea loch shore which was being offered for free for anyone prepared to take it away. Its still there years later. This one will have to be sorted though because it will become a hazard if it starts to break up.
