SL3 and BP-SCL6 problem

My SL3 works perfectly with the BP-SCL6 battery provided.

But the two BP-SCL6 I got from the Leica shop in Vienna lead to a message that the camera is not functional with BP-SCL4.

Very strange since both were marked BP-SCL6.

Firmware 2.01

I wil ask Leica. Anyone had this problem or knows a solution?

Pmw001,  First, welcome to the forum  Second, your issue is strange indeed.  Have you checked the two batteries to ensure they are BP-SCL6?   You will find the designation on the side of the battery in small print.  If so, I suggest you fully charge both new batteries.  If that fails, I suggest you call the Leica Shop Vienna and get them exchanged.  They should do so with no issue.  r/ Mark

Yes of course. Both batteries are  BP-SCL6. The first battery was exchannged, the second has the same issue.

The only one that works is the battery included with the camera.

Pmw001,  Best return the batteries to the Leica Store.  If you are close by, take your camera and batteries and let them check it out.  r/ Mark

Solved the issue.

1. Saved profile.

2. Exported profile.

3. Camera reset

4. Removed batteries for a few seconds.

5. Put them back in and restarted the camera.

Worked correctly

6. Imported profile.

Still worked correctly

Sounds like an obscure bug. I’d still report to Leica via email so hopefully they can root it out. Thanks for sharing your resolution.
