chris_tribble Posted February 6 Share #1  Posted February 6 Advertisement (gone after registration) I've been sorting this lens out for sale and noticed there was some smearing on the rear element (not fungus) and wondered how best to clean it. The element is deeply recessed. I have Eclipse and some non scratch q tips etc, but I'm not sure how best to proceed without leving smearing. Really grateful for any advice you can offer. Thanks!
Advertisement Posted February 6 Posted February 6 Hi chris_tribble, Take a look here How to clean the rear element of Apo-telyt 135 M. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
chris_tribble Posted February 6 Author Share #2 Â Posted February 6 Problem solved! Blower brush K&F Sensor full frame sensor swab (https://www.kentfaith.co.uk/SKU.1698_cleaning-stick-set-kf-24mm-aps-format-cleaning-stick-set-10pcs-cleaning-stick) + a couple of drops of Eclipse Very gently using a circular motion, clean the element. I have to admit I'd been panicking a bit when I'd tried using Eclipse + a new microfibre cloth and the whole thing ended up horribly smeared! However. now feeling greatly relieved!
rsh Posted February 6 Share #3  Posted February 6 (edited) Out of curiosity, why are you selling the 135.  It seems as if it has been a favorite of your’s for a long time. Edited February 6 by rsh
chris_tribble Posted February 6 Author Share #4  Posted February 6 Ah - it's a case of how much it gets used. Since getting the SL2, I've barely used the 135. My current plan is to sell a range of M lenses (retaining 35 and 28) for use on M10-R and to get a Q3 43. Sometimes sentiment isn't enough!
