Is a mark / smear (the vertical long whiteish line) like this normal on the shutter curtain ? If yes what is the cause of it ? Is there something to worry about ? I have seen cameras with mold/ fungus and stuff like this really concerns me.

thank you!

First, the Q has a leaf shutter, so doesn’t have shutter curtains.

Second, looking at your previous posts you seem to be on a mission to find amy little inconsequential marks on your gear.

Honestly I would say I over fixate on stuff like this. Mostly because these are the first very expensive gear I have and being a little bit inexperienced I can’t tell what I should be worried about and what I should not be worried about. Honestly I can tell Seeing stuff on the internet made me a little bir paranoid about the gear I own.

Enough said…and yes it easy to obsess about Leica gear considering the price.

In my opinion you have nothing to worry about…just go out and take some wonderful photos 😀

Seconded. There doesn't seem to be anything there to be alarmed about at all. That looks like a very normal mark in the raw material.

Things to be worried about are normally, something you can see on the images, something that feels different to how it was or something that sounds different to how it was. You have a very lovely camera and I hope you enjoy it for many years to come :)

Spend less time on the internet and more time going out, breathing fresh air and taking photos.

That's what the Leica products are made for.

But that should not be at that price. All parts should be polished like the movement of a Rolex 😤

If that’s the case they would look like crap. Rolex’s movement finishing is poor to non-existent by comparison to other manufactures.
