lct Posted October 17 Share #21 Posted October 17 Advertisement (gone after registration) I just wanted to know how you pen coded your ZM 35/1.4 to understand it this can be related to your issue. I mean 001100 or 011101 for instance? i'm using those codes currently on a CV 35/1.4 SC v2 and a CV 35/1.5 asph and both work perfectly. Besides, if you erased all coding pits of the flange, i see no reason why the lens would cause any freeze per se.

I can't remember the code I used, as I did this exercise last June when I bought the camera. 15 hours ago, lct said: 'm using those codes currently on a CV 35/1.4 SC v2 and a CV 35/1.5 I used the coding on Zeiss 35mm f/1.4 ZM distagon, not CV; that could be the confound, assuming I have done my coding right. lct Posted October 18 Share #23 Posted October 18 (edited) As far as 6-bit coding is concerned the point is to know which code is applied whatever brand the uncoded lens can be. What you say does not match my experience but i don't see how to help further sorry. Edited October 18 by lct
lexffm Posted October 20 Author Share #24 Posted October 20 The day before yesterday I had the problem that the camera simply turned off. Of course the battery was still almost full. I turned it off and on again and it worked again. Today the problem was that after turning it on the last image, the preview, was shown in the viewfinder and I couldn't go back to normal mode. I turned it off and on again and it was gone again. Camera M 11 monochrome and electronic shutter release.
jonoslack Posted October 20 Share #25 Posted October 20 Hi there If you still haven't reset the cameras, then I think you should export your profiles - reset the camera to factory settings and then re-import the profiles. I don't think this is always required, but if you are having problems (which I haven't seen elsewhere) then it's a really good idea. all the best Jonathan

BR, Alex But have you tried not reusing the profiles and instead rebuilding them from scratch? Sometimes the glitch is in the profile itself, which gets corrupted or is incompatible once the firmware changes.
J S H Posted October 21 Share #28 Posted October 21 I think resetting the camera to factory defaults and then rebuilding the profiles is the best way to go. That worked for me and I was seeing the exact issues described.

Never had this happen before v2.1.3 It's not a big problem for me, but it's still a bit annoying.

Even resetting to factory settings hurt me personally. The question that comes to mind is whether Leica is now the same as many other companies. Release an update without it being properly tested? I would expect more in this price segment. But maybe "never touch a running system" applies here too. I had no problems with 2.1.2 and I neither reset to factory settings nor recreated the profiles.

I’m trying to help you get your camera running well. Resetting and rebuilding your profiles is the last resort to try and fix your issue. How it worked or didn’t work before is not relevant. summicron75 Posted October 25 Share #36 Posted October 25 Issues appeared today for the first time since getting my M11-D on launch day. Some images not being saved to the SD Card and only appearing on internal memory even though they are set to be saved to both (thank god they haven´t been lost). Camera freezes and needs battery removed. Turning it off launches a solid orange light that doesn´t switch off... Odd and frustrating. Really thought this was fixed now. All happened in single shot mode, no problems with weather or temperature, perfectly fine SD card recommended by Leica...

Some of the problems could perhaps be solved if you format the SD card normally (not in quick mode) using a formatting program such as SD Formatter. Then always delete the SD card and the internal memory in the camera. But if you already do that, please forget

He suggested removing the sd card completely, setting it just to internal storage and seeing if the issues continue. Going to try that for a while and see...
