Hello!

Is it normal for this lens to have chromatic aberrations on wide open 1.4?

Unfortunately, I would say yes in my experience. I would suggest you save 1.4 for low light. My reference point is the V1 and non FLE ASPH though.

This is normal with the Summilux 35 FLE and FLE II and pretty much any non-APO fast lens when shot wide open in very high contrast scenes. This looks like a big M11 crop which makes the purple fringing more obvious. Most of the time you can fix it with the Lightroom manual lens correction eye dropper tool.

Purple fringing is normal, thought it's reasonably well controlled on this lens. Some lenses are clearly worse than others. If yours is significantly worse than other examples of the same lens, then you might have to send it back to Leica to check (takes a long time). I had a Noctilux f0.95 which initially was so bad that I felt it unusable. It went back to Leica, took 9 months but when it came back was much improved. The 35lux II should be much better than the Nocti for purple fringing. The photo you posted, does look quite bad.
