Lens correction in Lightroom

Hello everyone,

I have a strong feeling that lens corrections don't work properly on my Lightroom installation on MacBook. A random example is attached. BW image is a sooc jpg and the colour is version is a dng conversion. Lightroom is adamant that the lens correction profile has been applied, but when I flick through the images it is clear that distortion hasn't been fixed. Has anyone else encountered this, since I am at a loss how to approach this issue? I really like Summilux-TL 35mm, so I have a quite a few images like that.

quite a bit of distortion on the color image, save both and jump between the 2 files

here is a difference matte, that's a quite a lot.

Close-ups are the worst, infinity is barely noticeable. I think it was a design choice by Leica, sharpness is traded for distortion and the latter is corrected via a profile. I am mostly wondering whether I am the only one with this issue. I scrolled forums and internet, but no one else talks about it, so it might be just Mac+LR misbehaving. Or a user error. If I check "Enable Lens Correction", then nothing is active and it suggests me to manually change the lens profile -- no TL lenses there at all. Anyways, it clearly states that the profile has been applied, which is incorrect.

With what you are showing I am not seeing chromatic aberations, what is the display size you are going for. If yopu are looking at 300% and are going to just display on line, you are looking too hard.  If you are using f1.4 on your 35TL, that would be the aperture most subject to flare or other aberations.

TL lenses on a CL or Tx should be corrected in camera, make sure your camera and lens firm ware are the latest available. I have had problems with ACR (not Lightroom) over correcting on my CL and M8 images with wide angle lenses. Choosing lens correction with the full frame equivelant for the lens limits this. My 35s and above don't seem to need correction.

It isn't about chromatic aberrations here, but barrel distortion. I have the latest camera firmware, however, I don't see lens versions on TL2. It seems that I can't update them manually on this body, but I am pretty sure that my Summilux-TL 35mm got updated on the first use.

Then you need to shoot something that you believe shows barrel distortion, as I don’t see it in the shots you’ve posted.
