However, there is one major limitation for me: the lens locks at infinity.

Indeed the Rigid type infinity lock can be better choice.

On mine, Summaron 35mm for many years, I adopted the unlock trick, very simple.

Finding the right thickness paper then push it in the groove ( then cut the rest of paper) enough friction

... holding the lever in the unlock position .

May be try few times to success.

I received my Summaron LTM 35mm f/2.8 today. Nice condition, and I ran a few trials on the SL2-S to check - no problems. I realised that my only 35mm M-LTM adapter is a cheap eBay version: the SL2-S couldn't decide what it was - kept trying to tell me it was a 28mm while I was trying to convince it I had mounted a Summarit 35 f/2.5 - in the end I switched off lens detection. I will use the lens on a iif mainly.

I already have a W-Nikkor-C 3.5cm f/2.5. They made an interesting match. The Nikkor is tiny in comparison, and complements the iif style better. OTOH it has significant practical defects: a tiny aperture ring (my fingers really aren't that fat) and a rotating lens barrel, so changing aperture inevitably moves focus a bit, and the aperture registration mark is never in the same place - often underneath. However, although the Nikkor vignettes a bit more, the IQ is very comparable.

I ought to sell the Nikkor now I have the Summaron, but it is so pretty......
