Just a friendly reminder: Voigtländer is spelled without the h. A tough and complex little German/Austrian word but still... respecting the brand name is a noble thing to do.

0.35m MFD is super close, very handy for flowers, food, coins, rings, watches etc  ... plus there is a detent at 0.68 so you know when you are going off-piste beyond the RF zone ...  almost makes me want to get a camera with LV!

Nice work by Voigtlander (BTW correctly pronounced by English speakers as "folked lender" )

I was excited when I heard about this release but after more research three things disappoint me about the lens:

1) At a modest F3.5 aperture it’s not as sharp as the 50mm F2 APO-Lanthar at F2.0.

2) Not much shorter than the above.

3) No focus tab 😩

This would be a good lens for Voigtlander to offer in LTM mount.  I recently got the 28mm Color-Skopar in LTM, and the two lenses would make a terrific pairing for our Barnacks.  Plus, both being 34mm filter threads, they could share 34mm to 39mm step up rings (j/k).
