Viviparous Lizard Sun-basking

Yesterday, 10 August, I visited a local nature reserve and 'gardened' around some large logs which were very overgrown with long grasses and brambles.  When 'cleared', the log habitat is frequented by Sun-basking Common Lizards and insects. Today, 11 August I returned with my camera, tripod, Lastolite reflector and stand and waited patiently for lizards to explore the 'tidied-up' log habitat. Late afternoon several lizards finally made an appearance whence I quickly set up the reflector to 'fill-in' the the logs shadow areas which were not directly illuminated by the Sun.
