Is $250 worth getting a lens 6-bit coded?

Do I want this calibrated for digital if I plan on occasionally using it with an MP?

I think that Leica tightened their standard because digital sensors are absolutely flat (film can bow a little bit), but the new standard works for both film and digital.

You can 3D-print 6-bit code template and mark it yourself:

or

I've done this; in Vancouver a 3D printing shop I reached out to, 10 minute walk from me, created the jig for 20$ CAD. Some US Fred Miranda folks reported < 10$.  uni POSCA black and white 0.7mm tip pens designed for glass and steel did the job on a Voigtlander 28mm Ultron, which conveniently has a small recessed groove that neatly holds encodings so they don't rub off under use.

I'd consider getting it done by a Leica tech if I had an older Leica lens that also needed servicing.
