Quick check re focus shift - Summilux-M 35/1.4 ASPH first version (i.e. after original Aspherical)

I haven't shot with my 35/1.4 ASPH for several years but loved it at full aperture on my M8 for drama production shots.

That was the only Leica digital I have ever used and I intend still to continue just with film for pleasure when it comes to Leica M as I use a D850 or X-Pro series for digital work. So my question is simply this: is the well-known focus shift on this lens going to be apparent on film when shooting at the slightly stopped-down apertures such as f/2 through to say f/4 or f/5.6?  I generally use HP5 for b/w and Portra 400 for colour. 

And while we are on the topic, does the same-era Summicron-M 35/2 ASPH (first version) suffer shift to any noticeable degree, as this is going to be used much more as a general purpose lens at almost all apertures? I suspect it is to a lesser degree than the faster lens.

Many thanks for any info from your own experiences here. My biggest output size will be A4 and that only occasionally.

Not my 6-bit coded copy from 2010 but other colleagues here have got focus shift issues, especially on lenses that are not calibrated for digital.

I had this lens for many years until traded in part for a black paint M10-R as I don't use 35 as much as 28. Yes, it focus shifts at f4. Not as noticeable on film, but it does do it, same as digital. I found it quite frustrating at times, and would pretty much reserve it for low light situations, where it is was brilliant at 1.4/2. The Summicron does not, if I recall, as I had one of those for awhile (why oh why did I ever sell it?). I now have a 35 2.5 Summarit for those rare times I want to shoot with a 35.
