Thanks for the feedback guys, it's much appreciated.

 

Mike, much as I'm growing to respect the abilities of the C-Lux, especially when shooting B&W, I'd have to admit it's not much of a shift camera. I made sure I'd got everything I wanted in the frame, with a little margin for error around the subject, and used Photoshop to sort out the inevitably receding verticals one gets when shooting close-up from street level.

John, I like this a lot. I agree about the timeless quality. Most of all, I admire the way that you have corrected the verticals. It's something I have trouble with. Indeed, I often feel that an image with 'straightened' verticals is more unsettling than the uncorrected version. This must be a good example of the benefits of not overdoing it.
