My MAP 35 Nokton copy is flawless, it just performs in that funky way. And so does every other MAP 35 Nokton copy I could check through the help of a few very kind forum members. It was not purchased through MAP, but they do still have two used units (A47 and C50) at the moment of writing for about a quarter of a million ¥.

I agree, it is flawed— and certainly is NOT a do-it-all lens. That said, the rendering is unique and interesting.

I am keeping mine as an oddity, part of the overall collection. Probably will not see regular use, but it is too finely made and beautiful to sell at this point.
