gammarART Posted July 22, 2024 Share #134 Posted July 22, 2024 Externally a bit of a used look, but internally freshly cleaned, lubricated, and serviced. Welcome, dear visitor! a.noctilux Posted July 22, 2024 Share #135 Posted July 22, 2024 1.2/50 Canon LTM that I use is underrated lens. I wrote that it's so nice in use, smooth/precise large focus ring as I found the lock ennoying so I use (well known) the "tooth pick trick", no finder blocking as Noctilux 1/50. ... But in my view theese black/silver Canon LTM lenses are not "chrome lenses".

And I agree... it is not really chrome 🤔 But my chrome Summicron is on its way to the service...
a.noctilux Posted July 22, 2024 Share #137 Posted July 22, 2024 To unlock the locking device (on the focus ring), just put a tooth pick under it then cut the rest with a cutter (very carefully). The lock device would stay "up" out of it's locking position. This will not do any harm to focus ring and when in need returning just take off the wooden piece.

I just unscrew the locking piece and keep the components in a plastic bag to reassemble if I ever decide to sell the lens.

We are talking about Canon LTM 1.2/50 post #155. I don't see any screw to remove in my lens. ... In my Canon LTM 1.4/50, yes of course, I can remove unscrewing the locking device. spydrxx Posted July 22, 2024 Share #140 Posted July 22, 2024 My bad. I was generalizing on most 50mm LTM lenses. My Canon 50/1.2 is an adapted Canon mount, and you're right, no locking mount. Thx for the correction, I'll wear my eyeglasses next time!😄
