Riccardo.asselta Posted January 10, 2024 Share #1 Posted January 10, 2024 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) Un saluto a tutti e vi chiedo un consiglio. Grazie Edited January 10, 2024 by Riccardo.asselta
Advertisement Posted January 10, 2024 Posted January 10, 2024 Hi Riccardo.asselta, Take a look here Summicron C 40mm o Voigtlander Nokton 35mm f1,4 II?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
TomB_tx Posted January 10, 2024 Share #2 Posted January 10, 2024 I have both the Summicron 40 and Nokton 35 1.4 II MC. I think overall the Summicron is a bit sharper, but in most cases differences are minor. I now use the Summicron only on mt film CL - the camera it was designed for and has 40mm VF frame. The Nokton is my main lens on my M9, (On M10 I mainly use a Summarit 35 2.5 for its small size, great handling, and excellent images. I prefer it to the other 35mm lenses I have, including Summicron.) The Nokton has more distortion and isn't quite as sharp, but I don't notice this in most work. Riccardo.asselta Posted January 10, 2024 Author Share #3 Posted January 10, 2024 Grazie Al Brown link molto interessanti. TomB_tx il Summarit ha un costo decisamente superiore.

Cost of the Summarit is higher - I bought mine used when prices were lower. The Nokton is a very good buy for its features and performance.
pippy Posted January 10, 2024 Share #5 Posted January 10, 2024 Voigtlander Nokton 40mm f1.4 would be (and was) my choice. Nowhere near the barrel distortion of the Voigt. 35 and one stop faster than the C 40mm Summicron. At some point I will acquire a 40 Summicron just 'Because' but the Nokton - a couple of 'foibles' notwithstanding - is a superb lens. P.
