Voigtlander 40mm 1.4 MC lens mount "click-in to stop rotation

I bought a Voigtlander VM mount 40mm 1.4 MC version lens from Japan and another from B&H in New York.

Both MC lenses would NOT mount on a Leica M7 body while 6 other VM Voigtlander lenses that I own mount fine.

The PROBLEM was that the lens would not "click in" to stop it from turning on the body. The camera click-in arm just rode on top of the "U" click-in stop-rotation slot and would not fall into the lens mount's "U" slot.. All other lenses click-in to stop rotation correctly.

The Japanese lens seller took the lens return as did B&H in New York.

The Japanese seller told me that they sent it back to Voigtlander who seemed to deny to them that there was a problem with the lens (which the seller did not believe). B&H said that they would send it back to the manufacture without comment. Another seller (that I did not buy from) blamed the click-in problem on my M7 camera body which is almost stupid since about 30+ lenses I own click in M-mount fine.

A 40mm 1.4 SC lens I bought mounted fine... only the MC versions had the mounting click-in problem.

Has anyone else out there had this problem, which I had in December 2023.
