Yes - I will consider this lens in the future, even if it requires some new habits. My future with the 50mm Summilux FLE has indeed arrived. Now, what I read about the 'Karbe look' is not quite right. He - I think - hates the bourgeois. It is "almost impossible" to make sharp portraits. The picture in the Shop was no accident. The focus throw of the lens is so small (100 degrees?) and the real focal plane so thin (1 mm??) that it is impossible to hit it right without a lot of practice. On the EVF it is easy to nail down... but I live in RF land. So I'll have to do with some un-sharp pictures for a while. Get the feeling of this 'Karbe look'. . Focus on the glass rim. My wife looked at me a bit worried and asked me if I was OK. - no, I'll buy back my traded-in Summilux 50 II. . . I am a bourgeois after all. LOL. NaAn Posted April 6, 2024 Share #75 Posted April 6, 2024 The idea was to keep the crack in focus and background blurred. As a result no sharpness at all 🙂 Welcome, dear visitor!
