wolan Posted November 23, 2023 Share #1 Posted November 23, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi, time ago I bought this beauty called Ernst Leitz Wetzlar Elmar f=9cm 1:4 I thought the filter thread was 33m but it seems to be bigger, 33.5 probably. Maybe somebody in this forum knows? Thanks. Welcome, dear visitor! As registered member you'd see an image here… Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! a.noctilux Posted November 23, 2023 Share #3 Posted November 23, 2023 Wiki A36 I use one Elmar 90mm (newer in LTM), with SOOGZ A36 to E39 screw-in adapter to use E39 filters that I have.
UliWer Posted November 23, 2023 Share #4 Posted November 23, 2023 As a.noctilux says A36-filters were the usual ones for the 9cm Elmar. Though E34 will fit as well.
Pyrogallol Posted November 23, 2023 Share #5 Posted November 23, 2023 The Leitz 34mm filters screw in, but they are less common than the clamp on A36 filters that got over the end of the lens. nf3996 Posted November 24, 2023 Share #6 Posted November 24, 2023 And cheap 34mm lens hoods make a good alternative to a FIKUS or suchlike. Alan
Kl@usW. Posted January 2, 2024 Share #7 Posted January 2, 2024 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) I have a couple of Heliopan E34 filters ( black, brass, coated) for my Summaron 5,6/28 new-- the E34 filters are perfect for the Elmar. If you don't care for period correctness, a Heliopan E34 sunshade short or tele will fit and is quite unobtrusive. If you want to be more period correct, your FIKUS will slip over the Heliopan filter. Welcome, dear visitor!
