ktmrider2 Posted November 23, 2023 Share #1 Â Posted November 23, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) I was talking to a camera store in Hong Kong and the salesman told me Zeiss ZM lenses are no longer available while I see B&H has every model in stock. Â Has anyone else heard they are no longer available?

RexGig0 Posted November 23, 2023 Share #3 Â Posted November 23, 2023 B&H has received new stock of some ZM lenses, since the last time I checked for ZM lens availability, mid-2023.

The question was regarding the zm line. Only thing there is old stock being sold. No new development. This is not a rumor, but a fact.

They are all still available at many stores.
Robert Blanko Posted November 24, 2023 Share #6 Â Posted November 24, 2023 But looks like for instance the production of the 18/4 Distagon was stopped some years ago. You may still buy it new in some shops if you spend some time searching though.
Olaf_ZG Posted November 25, 2023 Share #7  Posted November 25, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) Ofcourse Zeiss will say they still produce, but this is hard to believe as they don’t really try to sell. They are selling the stock they have. Which is fine, just don’t expect new stock. All dealers selling Zeiss, sell this rather discounted. Great times. Zeiss gave up on their zm line. All efforts and resources are focused on VL.
Olaf_ZG Posted November 26, 2023 Share #8  Posted November 26, 2023 Most at Geier is quoted as “demo” or “new old stock”. I am not saying there is no new stock, I am just saying that Zeiss is selling their old stock. You believe they still produce, I don’t. They’re done with photographic lenses.
